Subsea diver less hydraulic operated High Flow hydraulic stab
The Subsea hydraulic stab is a hydraulic connector designed to connect and operate three hydraulic inline connections at the same time. It is also includes an emergency fail-safe release system. In case of loss of the ROV, the hydraulic stab connector will automatically release, allowing recovery of the ROV at surface for repair.
The Subsea hydraulic stab is equipped with high quality non-spill quick connectors that provide a high-pressure seal and safe operation. The stab is also equipped with a good visible indication system for control of the connect/disconnect position.
Optionally, the Subsea hydraulic stab can be equipped with a wet electric connector type GISMA Series 80. The fluid-filled and pressure-balanced electrical connector series 80 is specially designed for deep sea mating. The high quality of the series 80 is based on a very reliable sealing system, a pressure-balanced system and the new GISMA flushing device. Constant and low mating forces minimise the material stress at all designed pressures and depth capabilities.
The design of the Subsea hydraulic stab incorporates 3 operating actuators with a large piston area which create high hydraulic closing forces that are applied to the stab locking system. The closing hydraulic force created by hydraulic pressure in the stab actuator is sufficient to maintain contact between the stab receiver and active plate under maximum pressure in hydraulic lines. All dynamic parts of the system have treated surfaces to increase resistance.
The SHS is equipped with a drawn out cylinder which, during stab disconnection function, help the ROV to remove the stab from the receiver plate and during emergency (hydraulics fails) will automatically release and draw out the stab from receiver plate.
